FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Who can participate in the 2025 Global Summit on Sustainable Futures for Women and Youth (GSWY)?
GSWY 2025 will be open to all interested stakeholders and representatives of organizations whose work has been relevant in shaping and/or to the implementation of the UN Pact for the Future. To attend in person, participants must have a valid registration ticket. Registration closes on 1 March. There will be no onsite registration.
Will I receive an invitation letter to support a visa request?
For attendees who require a visa to attend the GSWY 2025, US Institute of Diplomacy and Human Rights will provide a letter of support after your registration and payment are processed. Please note that the responsibility for securing the appropriate visa lies with the attendee. Attendees who complete registration and pay in full will then receive a letter of invitation via email, which can then be submitted along with other documentation when applying for a visa. Attendees should refer to their local consulate for detailed information or check https://evisa.gov.tr/en/apply/ to check whether you need a consular visa. GSWY organizers are not responsible for the successful or unsuccessful procurement of visas by international attendees.
Is my flight ticket included in the Summit packages?
No. Participants are responsible for all necessary arrangements related to their in-person participation, including travel, visa, and others, as appropriate. Delegates and participants must book their Flight Tickets directly from the Airline or through a local travel Agency. The recommended airport for arrival is Istanbul Airport code IST.
Is my hotel accommodation included in the Summit packages?
Yes. If you selected one of the Full Experience packages, they include 4 nights of accommodation at a 4-star hotel from April 7 to 11, 2025, inclusive of breakfast. For General attendees, hotel accommodation is not included and delegates must secure their own accommodations.
How to get to Istanbul?
You should plan to arrive on April 7, 2025, at Istanbul Airport (IST). For participants arriving at IST, airport pick-up and drop-off are included in the Full Experience Package.If you arrive at another airport, such as Sabiha Gökçen International Airport (SAW), please budget approximately $75 USD one way for transportation to the hotel.
Do you offer FREE tickets or Scholarships?
No. The 2025 Global Summit on Building Sustainable Futures for Women and Youth (GSWY 2025) is a self-funded event. All participants and registered stakeholders are responsible for their own travel costs, as well as securing a valid registration ticket to attend the Summit.
Will I get a Certificate?
Yes. You will receive a Certificate of Recognition from the US Institute of Diplomacy and Human Rights that also recognizes you as an Inclusivity and Sustainability Advocate. You must attend the Plenary Sessions in Day 2 and 3 to obtain the certificate.
Can I upgrade later?
YES, however there are only limited seats available. The Global Summit on Building Sustainable Futures for Women and Youth is a very popular event with international participation. Due to the fact that many global leaders, diplomats and government officials are attending, seating is limited. We encourage you to upgrade as soon as possible.
Do I get a refund if I am unable to attend?
If you need to refund your ticket for the 2025 Global Summit on Building Sustainable Futures for Women and Youth (GSWY), we offer a full refund up to 45 days before the event, by February 22, 2025. Within 45 days of the event, refunds are not available; however, you will have the option to transfer your ticket to the next event or opt for virtual access to the Summit.For refund or transfer requests, please contact us at events@usidhr.org.
How to make a payment?
Payment can be made online via Credit/Debit Card, PayPal Account by clicking on any of the packages. If your card is not working, that probably means it is not active for international transactions. You need to contact your bank and inform them that you intend to make an online payment so that they can activate it for you usually at no additional costs.
