What Is Edu for Every Child?
Edu for Every Child is USIDHR’s global initiative to remove financial barriers to education for children in underserved communities.
We focus on one simple but powerful solution:
👉 Providing every child with the essential resources needed to attend school.

We are fighting poverty by giving children the opportunity to receive an education. There are 258 million children at risk, and only one in ten will ever go on record as being educated throughout their lives – but you can help us change this!
Through this program, children receive:
School uniforms and shoes
Backpacks and supplies
Learning materials for the full academic year
For many, this is the difference between staying out of school and having a future.

Each Edu-Box is designed to remove the practical barriers that prevent children from attending school. Rather than providing partial support, we ensure that every child receives everything needed for an entire academic year.
The contents of each box are sourced locally and prepared in partnership with our in-country teams, allowing us to respond to the specific cultural and social needs of each community. This approach ensures that the support is not only effective, but also relevant and respectful of the local context.
An Edu-Box typically includes essential items such as a school backpack, uniform, shoes, lunch box, notebooks, a pencil case, and other necessary school supplies—giving each child the opportunity to attend school with dignity and confidence.
At USIDHR, we believe that every donor deserves clarity and confidence in how their contribution is used. That is why all donations to the Edu for Every Child program are directed toward providing children from low-income communities with the resources they need to attend school.
Each contribution supports the preparation and distribution of Edu-Boxes, delivered through trusted, in-country partners who ensure that assistance reaches children directly and effectively. Our model is designed to maximize impact by combining global oversight with local implementation.
In addition to donor support, USIDHR reinvests resources from its educational programs to expand this initiative and reach more children worldwide. This integrated approach allows us to scale our impact while maintaining a clear focus on delivering meaningful, measurable outcomes for every child we serve.

Through Edu for Every Child, USIDHR has expanded access to education across multiple regions of the world, delivering targeted support in communities where children face barriers to attending school.
