Edu for Every Child: Leaving No Child Behind in Liberia

Join USIDHR and Hope for Destitute Kids Liberia in our mission to provide education, dignity, and opportunity to children living in extreme poverty. Through this initiative, we aim to ensure that no child is left behind — every child deserves the chance to learn, grow, and build a better future.

Your support helps provide school essentials and educational access for 150 underprivileged children in Liberia.

USIDHR is bringing its Edu for Every Child program to Liberia for the very first time. For just $47, you send one child to school for an entire year. We need to raise $7,100 to reach all 150 children.

One Child's Future Changed.

Every $47 raised covers the essential school supplies a child in Liberia needs to attend school for a full year. These aren't just supplies — they are tickets out of extreme poverty for children aged 2 to 15 in some of Liberia's most impoverished communities.

Our Partner on the Ground

Hope for Destitute Kids Liberia

Hope for Destitute Kids Liberia (HFDKL) is a community-based humanitarian organization established in 2014 in response to the devastating aftermath of the Liberian civil crisis (1989–2003) and the 2014 Ebola outbreak — both of which left thousands of children orphaned, neglected, and without access to basic services.

In the wake of these crises, many children were forced into street life, deprived of education, exposed to abuse, and lacked access to food, clean water, and healthcare. HFDKL was founded as a grassroots response — working closely with communities, partners, and volunteers to create an environment where children are not defined by poverty, but supported to realize their full potential.

Over the years, HFDKL has remained committed to restoring dignity, hope, and a sense of belonging to vulnerable children across Liberia. They will identify all 150 children and lead full implementation of the project on the ground.
